Don’t allow your spine to rot due to a lack of maintenance!
Wednesday, April 21st, 2010
Maintain your spine with regular chiropractic adjustments, much like you maintain your car with oil changes, tune-ups and keeping the tires in alignment. Your spine is supposed to be straight up and down from the back and have 3 curves from the side in order for optimum health and function. Not all chiropractors are alike. Although they go by the same name not all chiropractors deliver the appropriate care to return the spine towards a more normal position to offer long-term benefits.
Have your spine evaluated even if you FEEL good. Problems develop through years of neglect without signs and symptoms.

Allergy Season??? Think again….
Friday, April 2nd, 2010Unlike medical care that simply aims to mask the symptoms(runny nose, watery eyes) of allergies, Chiropractic care works by detecting and correcting the underlying causes. As Jay stated, the immune system has the capacity to fight off all foreign invaders(bacteria, virus etc.) that could potentially make us sick.
The thing is, we are all living under the same umbrella, yet not all of us have allergies or get sick. We need to ask ourselves, “Why do I have allergies or get sick even though my family lives in the same home, breathes the same air and eats the same food as I do?” Simply, if pollen in the air were responsible for allergies, we would all have the same allergies. Pollen is no more the cause of allergies than gray hair is the cause of old age.
Allergies are a symptom of an underlying weakened immune system. Chiropractic care works by removing interference to the nervous system thereby improving function of the immune system and the entire body. The nervous system controls all systems of the body.
When is the last time you had your spine and nervous system checked?
Recipe: Almond Cookies
Saturday, March 27th, 2010These are a great way to satisfy the sweet tooth without the harmful effects of sugar and flour.
Servings: Makes 10-12 cookies.
Ingredients:
2 Cups Finely Ground Almond Powder (Put 2 cups almonds in food processor and process until the consistency of flour)
1/4 Cup Xylitol
1 Tablespoon Almond Extract
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs (Free Range, Organic)
1 Pinch of Sea Salt
1.5-2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. First, process almonds in food processor until they look like flour. Next, add remaining ingredients to processor and mix until all ingredients are combined well. Scoop out a portion of cookie batter, shape it into a ball, and place on a cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-20 minutes, depending on size of cookies, until they start to brown slightly. Allow the cookies to cool completely before removing them from the pan, otherwise they fall apart.
