Recipe: Black Bean Brownies

Due to popular demand, we will be posting healthy recipes from time to time so you can apply the “Eat to Live” principles we talked about in the workshop.  Check back often and forward our blog and suggest us to friends on Facebook so they can learn how to build  more health and avoid becoming part of the poor health  statistics in our country.

Today’s recipe is for Black Bean Brownies.

1 Can of Organic Black Beans(or prepare your own)

1/2 cup Cocoa

4 Tbsp. extra-virgin coconut oil(buy here:   http://nutiva.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=23 to save money by purchasing a gallon).

1/2 c. xylitol

2 level tsp. stevia powder (or add liquid stevia to desired sweetness)

1 tsp. organic vanilla extract (read the label and make sure there is no sugar hidden)

3 large free range eggs (Ask us about where to get great eggs)

1/2 c. gluten-free flour

1/4 tsp. sea salt

1/4 c. water

Blend ingredients together in food processor.  Grease pan with coconut oil and bake for 40 minutes @ 350 degrees.
